DO IT TOGETHER - MAKE IT THE FAMILY TREE! |
Remember, over the course of 50 years, a single tree can generate $31,250 of oxygen, provide $62,000 worth of air pollution
control, recycle $37,500 worth of water, and control $31,500 worth of soil erosion. The trees you plant will be silent sentinels,
honorable monuments, and for decades to come, active participants in nature's plan.

ARBOR DAY PHOTOS |
Enterprise Rent-A-Car; the largest rental car company in North America; will mark a significant milestone in February 2007:
its 50th anniversary. To commemorate this achievement, thank the customers and communities that made this success possible,
and look forward to the next 50 years, Enterprise is making an unprecedented gift to The National Arbor Day Foundation. Enterprise
has formed a partnership with the Foundation to plant 50 million trees over the next 50 years; a gift, in total, of more than
50 million dollars.
In an outstanding example of a public-private partnership, The National Arbor Day Foundation will work with the U.S. Forest
Service to plant these trees; one million of them each year; in National Forests located in the United States, Canada, and
Europe to restore areas damaged by fires, storms, and disease, as well as to help expand and preserve habitats for endangered
species.
The Enterprise gift to The National Arbor Day Foundation is the largest in the charity's history. To put this gift into
perspective, there are 25,000 trees in New York's Central Park. Planting 1 million trees a year is like planting a new Central
Park every 10 days; for the next 50 years.
ARBOR DAY 2007 FESTIVAL WAS HOSTED BY KINNIKINNICK CHAPTER OF THE IDAHO NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY. FUN STARTED AT 10:30 A.M. AND
RAN UNTIL 1:00 PM FRIDAY, APRIL 27, AT LAKEVIEW PARK. It was Sandpoint's Official Arbor Day Celebration. There were various
tours, presentations, educational activities, and my official Proclamation. Clifty Nursery from Bonners Ferry donated FREE
trees. You can go to Arbor Day Foundation on the net to find lots of cool stuff for kids and adults. Betsy and I are on
our way to receiving a couple seedlings absolutely FREE - find out how you can too by visiting Arbor Day Foundation on the
internet.
