I manage the resources and lead the people responsible for operating a multi-million dollar business. The PEOPLE'S BUSINESS.
I am proud to serve as your Mayor. I promised I would only serve two terms as Mayor. The first four years have been about
regionalism. Joining with the county and surrounding cities to combine our strengths and planning on common issues that cross
municipal boundaries; like water, sewer, and transportation. My second term continues the forward looking vision of a future
that has a place for children and grandchildren. Now is the time to consider a council/manager form of government for Sandpoint
or employing a City Administrator. It's time to take the politics out of the Mayor's office. It's time for the voters to
have a conversation about a Manager or Administrator supervising the city business. By 2013 we should consider having a professional
with a solid resume and a ceremonial Mayor. The Mayor of Sandpoint is not a popularity contest. It is a serious responsibility
that requires the best effort of staff, department heads, council, community members, and the Mayor. I am a military veteran,
educator, coach, city councilman and your Mayor.
